  • My husband and I attended his holiday party on Tuesday. It was the first company function we have been able to go to. It sure was nice to get dressed up and go out with my hunny.  The event was held at the Macaroni Grill, there are only about 30 employees so it was nice and intimate. We had a gift exchange, it was called a White Elephant Exchange. All the presents were up for trading. It was more fun than just getting a present.  It was nice to talk to adults that I don’t work with, but of course inevitably we discussed where we all work and what we do at work etc.  Imagine that.  Then the really fun part happened, they handed out Awards. Dwayne had perfect attendance until his folks came to visit, so he did not get that one, but I am positive he will next year! In all, there were 6 that got the award. They received a gift certificate and a framed certificate. Then they gave the Employee of the Year, which went to the shipping manger for the warehouse. Apparently it was well deserved, everyone clapped. Then they gave the Salesman of the Year, which even though he missed a month of sales due to a promotion to Route Manager, they gave it to Dwayne. I almost cried.  He worked so hard and he got it! 

    It was a great night!

  • Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh! {Picture mom sitting at your table}...........the announcer says, "And for the Employee of the Year.....Dwayne Bell! {Picture mom jumping up, her chair flys backwards, mom is now yelling and screaming...."That's my son! I gave birth to him! I taught him everything he knows! Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.............."

    Oh how I wish that I had been there!
