Hi there,
I guess you have been wondering where I have been. I wanted to take a moment to tell you what happened.
I had to go home to visit my very ill step father in Maryland. He has been suffering with liver failure for sometime.
The trip was to take only a few days, I was suppose to be back to work on Thursday.
While we were traveling on Friday, my family and I were involved in a car accident on US 95 near Baltimore.
Everyone is ok, no injuries except a few muscle strains.
We were hit in the rear by a cement mixing truck.

We spent about 4 hours on the side of the road on the coldest day of the year so far in Maryland. Needless to say, not fun with two very small and shaken children.
Our trip was prolonged so that we could organize a return trip home. We were given a rental car from the Cement Company’s insurance company.
I saw my step father a lot before we left for home. I am glad to have had the opportunity to see him and for him to spend time with my children.
As a last minute bonus, (due to the unusually warm weather) also spent an afternoon playing on the beach in Red Point, I spent my childhood on this beach front community. I was a priceless moment to take my little girl to see it.
Keep in mind this thought…
Your family is irreplaceable, spend every moment possible creating great and wonderful memories, forget the bad things that happen because they are not worth remembering anyway.
Have a great holiday with your family this season and remember how lucky we all are to have them.
Monica
